14th Auto Expo 2018 - Components

New Delhi, India

This leading automotive exhibition in India has covered in 2016 a total of 80,000 sqm space in the exhibition centre in New Delhi. Over 1,500 exhibitors from 21 countries and over 114,000 visitors attended the event.

Auto Expo, which has developed into the leading trade for India's automobile industry, has been held every two years since 1986. Due to high demand and the difficult situation with the venue, for the first time ever the upcoming exhibition will be divided. The Auto Expo Motor Show will be held at the India Expo Mart fairgrounds in Greater Noida on the outskirts of Delhi from February 9 – 14. The Auto Expo Components Show will be held at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center in New Delhi from February 8 – 11, 2018. Both parts of the trade show are being jointly organized by the automobile associations ACMA and SIAM and the industry association CII. Shuttle busses will provide regular service between the two venues.

This year the German official participation covers around 200 sqm space in hall 7ABC. Ten German companies from the automotive suppliers’ sector have applied within the official participation. Apart from the companies within the German Pavilion, more leading German suppliers and also the German leading carmakers are present at Auto Expo 2018.

The Component show is for trade visitors only and open from 10:00 to 18:00 h.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) decides on, and supports, official participations in the Federal Republic of Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme.
In addition to policy and budgetary issues, the active involvement in the presentation of Germany at international fairs and exhibitions is of prime importance. In a constant dialogue with private-sector partners, the division for international/national trade fairs and exhibitions of the ministry backs the export activities of German industry on international markets.

Furthermore, the "fairs and exhibitions division" is concerned with planning and implementing German participation in world expositions abroad and with major political issues regarding fairs and exhibitions in Germany.

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, AUMA, represents the interests of the trade fair industry on a national and international level in dealings with parliament, ministries, authorities and other organisations.

The association organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture.

As part of this programme, the Federal Government provides financial assistance for German participations at foreign events, but also for independent presentations by German industry abroad.
